Guarding Gaia is a commissioned human rights documentary following four environmental lawyers from Armenia, Colombia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Thailand as they are exposed to personal risks while legally protecting their communities and the environment. Amid an escalating climate crisis and growing attacks on environmental defenders, the film highlights how their work embodies the fight for justice, equality, and the right to life.

Filmed by local crews and produced sustainably by Human Rights in the Picture, Guarding Gaia offers intimate testimonies and striking visuals that reveal the urgency, resilience, and moral courage driving one of the defining human rights struggles of our time.
