HagueTalks is an organization that believes that looking at peace and justice from a variety of angles and perspectives sparks innovative thinking and acting. On International Transgender Day of Visibility (March 31st), HagueTalks invited us to celebrate and support the transgender community by acknowledging the courage it takes to live openly and authentically. Nadja Houben, our director of Human Rights in the Picture, discussed how she tries to create a platform for trans people to express their journey and struggles with our organization. Furthermore, other inspiring speakers such as Bahia Tahzib-Lie, Chris Rijksen, Lilit Martirosyan and Nancy Siblini also discussed their views on this topic.
The event was co-organized by Museon and the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
